Aldridge Gardens Wedding in Birmingham, AL | Madalyn & Clayton

Some weddings are timeless. Others are full of energy. Madalyn and Clayton’s Aldridge Gardens wedding in Birmingham, Alabama was beautifully both.

With a lakeside ceremony, vibrant floral details, and a joyful, dance-filled reception, their day was a true celebration—of love, heritage, and the people who mean the most to them.

A Ceremony by the Lake at Aldridge Gardens

Set among tall trees and calm water, the gardens provided the perfect natural setting for a heartfelt ceremony. Madalyn and Clayton were married beneath a floral-covered chuppah, surrounded by 175 of their closest friends and family.

One of the most emotional moments came just before the kiss: the breaking of the glass, a beloved tradition in Jewish weddings, symbolizing both joy and commitment.

Guest-Focused, Joy-Filled Photography

Madalyn and Clayton made one thing clear—they wanted this day to be about people. Their photos reflect exactly that: candids of their guests laughing, dancing, and soaking in every minute.

We captured portraits, of course—but the real magic was in the movement. The hugs, the dancing, the little moments that often go unnoticed. One of Madalyn’s favorite memories from another wedding was a candid dance photo—and we made sure to capture dozens just like it for them and their guests to treasure.

Personal Style + Playful Details

Madalyn looked stunning in her Madilane Bridal gown, and hair + makeup by @kerribunn gave her that perfect, fresh glow. Her bouquet and floral design from @verafloradesign brought in beautiful color and texture without feeling overwhelming.

The reception design reflected both fun and function: custom cups, signage, water bottles, and branded napkins—all thoughtfully created by @jenro_promo. These little details made a big impact and added so much personality to the day.

Let the Party Begin (and Don’t Miss the Hora!)

The couple kicked off their reception with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing with music by @discohristo. And around 9:30? The party hit a high point with the hora—a Jewish dance tradition that brought everyone to the floor, laughing and clapping as Madalyn and Clayton were lifted into the air in chairs.

And to end the night? A sparkler exit and a getaway car—the perfect sendoff for a day full of joy, family, and unforgettable memories.

A Day Rooted in Meaning

What made this wedding so special was the intentionality behind it all. Madalyn and Clayton wanted their day to feel natural, joyful, and reflective of who they are—and that came through in every photo. From emotional ceremony moments to high-energy dancing and thoughtful reception styling, this day was alive in the best way.

If you’re dreaming of your own Aldridge Gardens wedding, I’d love to help capture your day with intentional storytelling and joyful candids.
