Mackenzie and DJ’s wedding at Oak Meadow Event Center was bright, beautiful, and SO much fun. From a gorgeous ceremony to a live painter capturing the night, this day was full of thoughtful details and a whole lot of celebrating.
A Bright + Airy Alabama Wedding Venue
Oak Meadow Event Center is a photographer’s dream. This family-owned venue in Ohatchee has an all-white modern farmhouse design, soaring vaulted ceilings, and big windows that fill the space with natural light. The wooden stage with its grand mantel and fireplace is the perfect focal point for a ceremony, and Dogwood Designs by Kelli dressed it up with stunning florals.
Getting Ready
Mackenzie got ready in the bridal suite with her girls, with beauty by Babes by Heidy. Her gown from Diane’s Formal Affair was STUNNING, and her bridesmaids looked gorgeous in Azazie. DJ and his guys looked sharp in Jos. A. Bank.
Planned to Perfection
Ashley Pierce Weddings ran this day like a pro. Every detail was in place, the timeline stayed on track, and Mackenzie and DJ got to simply enjoy their day. When a planner is this organized, it shows up in every single photo.
The Reception
The reception space glowed with lighting from Say It In Lights and rentals from Owens Bros Events and Decor2Adore. My favorite detail was the live painter from Once Upon a Painting, who captured the reception on canvas as it happened. Guests loved watching the painting come together! Superior Sound Media kept the dance floor packed all night, and a cake from Valor Bakery was the sweetest finishing touch.
