Katie and Eli, y’all. Where do I even start? Their Birmingham engagement photos felt exactly like the best kind of date night: craft cocktails, a little friendly competition, and a golden-hour stroll through Five Points South. Honestly, I mostly just followed them around and tried to keep up.
Cocktails and Gallery Walls at Juniper in Forest Park
We kicked things off at Juniper, the gin bar in Birmingham’s Forest Park neighborhood, and WOW. Picture moody blue walls covered in gold-framed floral paintings, glowing pendant lights, and a rope-hung swing that might be the most romantic seat in the city. Katie’s chocolate lace dress and Eli’s blue button-down looked like they were made for that room.
We started right at the bar, where the arched shelves and that soft pink glow did all the heavy lifting, and Eli could not stop making Katie laugh.

Then a round of dice at a mosaic high-top turned into a full-blown rivalry (the winner remains confidential), and we wrapped up on Juniper’s ivy-covered courtyard with drinks in hand. Real laughs, real banter, zero stiff posing.

Golden Hour Engagement Photos in Five Points South
For the second half, Katie and Eli switched into soft neutrals and we headed to Five Points South. Between the historic stone architecture, arched wooden doors, and tree-lined sidewalks, this corner of Birmingham feels a little like stepping into Europe. The late sun did the rest, filtering through the leaves and wrapping everything in that warm glow I’m obsessed with.

Walking hand in hand, stealing kisses on the church steps, Eli pulling Katie in close every chance he got. These two made my job SO easy.

Katie and Eli, thank you for trusting me with this chapter of your story. I loved every minute!
