Anna and Kyle’s day was everything a summer wedding should be: warm, joyful, intentional—and full of color. And while their ceremony at St. Mark UMC was beautiful and sentimental, it was their wedding reception at The Farrell in Birmingham that truly brought their vision to life.

From rattan textures to signature cocktails and dance-floor energy that didn’t let up, The Farrell was the perfect canvas for a vibrant celebration filled with personality, love, and laughter.

A Meaningful Beginning

The couple began their day with a first look and portraits at The Farrell—a quiet, modern space nestled in the heart of downtown Homewood. With clean architectural lines and glowing natural light, it gave us the perfect setting for intimate, emotional moments before the ceremony.

While their vows took place at St. Mark United Methodist Church, where Anna grew up attending with her family, the energy quickly shifted back to The Farrell for the night of their lives.

The Farrell: A Dream Reception Space in Homewood

Anna knew she wanted a reception that felt fresh, summery, and full of life—and The Farrell delivered. With floor-to-ceiling windows, plenty of room to dance, and beautiful lighting that shifted with the sunset, it offered the ideal atmosphere for gathering their 200 guests in a way that felt personal and elevated.

Planner @threefoldevents and florist @stems.styles_homewood worked magic to bring Anna’s vision to life. Inspired by yellow, her late grandmother’s favorite color, the reception featured wildflower-style blooms, rattan accents, and textured linens that created a joyful, nature-infused space.

Sips, Small Bites & Signature Details

As guests arrived at the reception, they were welcomed with passed drinks and appetizers—bacon-wrapped Conecuh sausage, fried arancini, and a sprawling charcuterie board set the tone for a relaxed, cocktail-style welcome.

Anna and Kyle slipped away for a private meal, soaking in the moment together before joining the celebration. It was a small but intentional pause in a whirlwind day—a chance to breathe, connect, and reflect.

Signature cocktails, thoughtful seating, and custom-embossed napkins gave the reception a personal feel without being fussy.

Dancing, Dessert & Downtown Vibes

Once the dance floor opened, DJ @dijital_mirror kept the energy high and the playlist perfect. Friends and family jumped right in—dancing, laughing, and turning the elegant venue into a full-blown party.

Anna, a longtime fan of @magic_muffins, worked with them to design a wedding cake that was both beautiful and meaningful—and let’s just say it tasted as good as it looked!
