Some wedding days are full of beauty—and others feel like heartbeats you can hold onto. Emma and Gage’s wedding at The Ledges in Huntsville, Alabama was both.
With sweeping views, personal touches, and a dance floor made for joy, their day was emotional, elegant, and centered on celebrating the people they love most.
A Ceremony Full of Emotion & Meaning
Emma and Gage were married on the lawn at The Ledges, a place that holds deep personal meaning—her dad has worked there for over 20 years, so it truly felt like home. The 5:30 ceremony was filled with light, laughter, and happy tears as they said “I do” surrounded by 180 of their favorite people.
It was also the first birthday without Emma’s Meme, who passed just two weeks before the wedding. That weight was felt by the whole Lee family, making the joy of the day even more poignant.
First Looks & Quiet Moments
Before the ceremony, Emma and Gage shared a quiet first look—a moment of calm that grounded them both before the celebration began. It was full of anticipation, emotion, and a deep kind of peace that made the rest of the day unfold with ease.
A Celebration That Reflects Emma’s Heart
Emma is the founder of Patterson Place, a nonprofit dedicated to creating community, work, and worship opportunities for adults with special needs. Her heart for others is undeniable—and it showed in every part of the day.
From the way she greeted guests with pure joy to the thoughtful, intentional flow of the evening, you could feel her love for people in every detail. Emma brings purpose and warmth wherever she goes, and her wedding was no exception.
A Full-Circle Moment
One of the most meaningful parts of this wedding for me was discovering—during our very first meeting—that I knew Emma’s brother, Robbie! We worked together at Merrimack Hall back when I was in high school.
It felt like such a full-circle moment. Getting to reconnect and photograph a day like this for a family I already had ties to made everything even more special. It’s those connections that make this work so personal and meaningful.
Personal Touches & Thoughtful Celebration
Emma and Gage are the perfect pair—Gage is a social, spotlight-loving musician, and Emma is grounded, warm, and deeply thoughtful. Their wedding reflected that balance beautifully.
They honored Emma’s Louisiana roots with a Cajun-inspired dinner by @theledges, and one of the standout moments of the night was a surprise mother-daughter dance that had everyone in tears. Gage joined in at the end, making it one of the most heartfelt parts of the evening.
Timeless Style with Southern Charm
Emma kept her wedding look simple, classic, and timeless—a stunning gown from @thesomethingblueshoppe, soft and romantic florals by @beyoutifuldesignsflorist, and fresh, glowing hair and makeup by @danielle_hairandmua.
It all came together effortlessly—refined and elegant, but never fussy.
A Day They’ll Never Forget
Emma and Gage have only been together for about a year and a half, but from their very first date, they’ve been inseparable. Their wedding felt like the natural next chapter—full of love, fun, and the kind of depth that only comes from two people who truly see each other.
If you’re dreaming of your own The Ledges wedding in Huntsville, I’d be honored to help you tell your story through timeless, heartfelt images.
