Hannah and Connor’s Birmingham engagement session had it all: timeless architecture, a sunset view over the city, and one very sweet pup stealing the show. We started in downtown Birmingham at the historic federal building and ended at the overlook for golden hour. Y’all, it was a DREAM.

There’s something about downtown Birmingham that makes engagement photos feel classic and a little bit cinematic. The federal building’s grand columns, stone steps, and old-world details gave us the most gorgeous backdrop. Hannah and Connor made it feel completely natural, laughing and leaning into each other like no one else was around.
Bringing Their Sweet Pup Along
Hannah and Connor brought their dog along for the session, and I’m SO glad they did. Pets are family, and including them in your engagement photos makes your session feel like you. Fear not if your pup has a mind of their own. Those wiggly, candid moments are often the ones couples end up loving most.

To finish the evening, we headed up to the overlook to catch the sunset over the Birmingham skyline. The city stretching out below, the warm light, and these two wrapped up in each other made for some of my favorite images of the year. Golden hour in the Magic City never disappoints!
